It’s kind of crazy the way the beauty industry has evolved the last few years. I remember having to dig through magazines and interviews just to find out that one new product or trick used on celebrities that made them look super human. Now, that kind of knowledge is hyper-accessible along with tools that you used to only see at your dermatologist office.

I wanted to share a new element of my everyday routine that is so futuristic I feel like Zenon, Girl of the 21st century. It’s called Puray Pure Spray and it has a skin moisture detector. Yes… this little device tells me the moisture levels of my hands, neck, face and delicate little eye area in less than 2 seconds… WELCOME TO THE FUTURE.

The way this worked it’s way into my routine is when I sit down at my vanity after washing my face in the a.m. I stare at my drawer of serums, oils and moisturizers and try to decide which one my skin needs. I started picking this up to measure my moisture levels to help me decide on the level of hydration that would be most effective for the day. The app is on my phone and shows my results instantly and also keeps track of my previous moisture levels.

I usually land in the normal range so I am really focusing on trying to up my daily water intake and trying new things to make sure my skincare is really able to sink in and do it’s job. Have you added any high-tech elements to your skincare or makeup routine?
